Description
Need ideas for helping students find the base word? Are students having difficulty decoding words with prefixes and suffixes? Do you need students to take the base and decode first? Using this cards, students “take the base” and decode using the known, then add the prefixes and suffixes back to form clear understanding.
There are 4 activities in this set.
- Anchor Charts – The lesson starts with anchor charts and endings lessons. There are 2 options for anchor charts.
- Find the Suffix – Suffix Full-page Examples (3), Suffix Anchor Chart, Suffix Interactive Notebook Charts, Suffix headers for sorting, and Suffix Cards (with and without a marked base)
- Find the Prefix – Prefix Full-page Examples (3), Prefix Anchor Chart, Prefix Interactive Notebook Charts, Prefix headers for sorting, and Prefix Cards (with and without a marked base).
- Find the Suffix AND Prefix – Prefix/Suffix Full-page Examples (3) and Prefix/Suffix Cards (with and without a marked base)
I have included 92 cards in both full-color and ink-saving black and white. There are also directions and anchor lessons for prefixes and suffixes.
This can be used in small group instruction or intervention.
