Description
Want a ready-made center for short vowel rime word families that can be hands-on and differentiated? This is the set for you. Students will create and write rimes with automaticity and confidence.
This set contains
- 34 word mats for short vowel words and
- 44 letter cards with single letters, blends, and digraphs
- Students will take a card and the corresponding cookies to make the word family words. There will be one cookie leftover.
- Using the recording sheet, students will write the number of the card, the words made with the cookies, and create a new word with the extra cookie.
- Students can draw a picture, write a sentence, or both.
- As an alternative, the mats can be laminated and students can use a dry erase marker.
