Dr. King is a true American who deserves to be clearly introduced to even our earliest learners. This second set of Martin Luther King, Jr Activities includes more ideas to use with early learners.

This packet contains:

  • Who am I? (1 Card)

Using the pictures on page 4, students will add the picture with the appropriate beginning sound on page 5.

  • Beginning Sound Word Cards (8 Cards)

Using the beginning sounds, students will write the word relating to Martin Luther King, Jr. Then, students will add the appropriate picture from page 8 to the word card.

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Word Cards (24 Cards)

The vocabulary cards can be used for a variety of activities including, but not limited to, ABC Order, Writing Topics, and Syllable Sorts.

  • –ing Word Family (10 Cards)

Students will use the “If you know…then you know… word family activity to make –ing words. Words include: ring, sing, wing, king, sling, swing, spring, string.

  • 2 Art Projects
