Want a fun way to combine encoding and decoding? Want a fun way to practice decoding with L blends, R blends, Beginning Digraphs and Ending Digraphs? Students can practice writing L blends (bl, cl, fl, gl, pl, and sl), R Blends (br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, and tr), Beginning Digraphs (ch, sh, th, and wh), and Ending Sounds (ch, sh, th) by matching the feature with the picture provided. There are multiple options for use with directions for each. This set also comes with three separate answer sheets.
There are 30 L Blend cards:
bl – block, blender, blueberries, black and blew
cl – clock, clown, clap, clam and cloud
fl – flower, flamingo, flag, flashlight and fly
gl – globe, glasses, glue, glove and glass
pl – playground, plug, plate, plum and plane
sl – sloth, sled, slipper, sleeve and sleigh
There are 30 R Blend cards:
br – bride, bread, brush, braid and broken
cr – crack, crab, crib, crown and crawl
dr – dragon, dream and dress
fr – frame, fries, frog, fruit and friends
gr – grapes, grill, groundhog, grandma and gray
pr – pretzel, princess, presents and printer
tr – triangle, trash and tractor
There are 30 Beginning Digraph Cards:
ch- cheese, chocolate, chair, cherry, chimney, chop, chest, chips
sh – shamrock, sheep, shampoo. shark, shirt, shovel, shampoo, shark
th – thermometer, thief, think, third, thorn, thumb, thirty
wh – whale, wheel, whisper, whistle, whisk, whisker, white
There are 30 Ending Digraphs Cards:
ch- beach, inch, witch, peach, pouch, wrench, lunch, torch, perch, launch
sh – brush, bush, fish, trash, flash, lash, wash, push, dish, splash
th – earth, wreath, sloth, mouth, moth, bath, path, cloth, booth, tooth
